Guitar School Accreditation

Playing the guitar -- or any musical instrument -- is a performing art and it's important that an education in performing arts be accredited. The endorsement of accreditation is one of accountability and quality, so that students may know that their education in guitar and performing arts met standards that professional musicians have established as educational guidelines. Perhaps more importantly, students can be reassured that the music and performing arts community views the education as valuable.

The National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) is part of the National Office of Arts Accreditation (NOAA). NASM establishes guidelines for the music education programs including curricular standards in addition to providing informing the public about music education programs.
